When a tree actually needs to come down
Not every struggling tree needs removal. We recommend a takedown when the tree is dead or in irreversible decline, carries a structural defect that pruning cannot correct, is infested with emerald ash borer beyond treatment, or leans close enough to a roof, foundation or power service that failure would cause real damage.
If the tree can be saved, we say so. A crown reduction, deadwooding or a cabling install is almost always cheaper than a removal plus replanting — and you keep the shade.
How we work in tight Front Range yards
Most lots here have fences, sprinkler heads and neighbors within a few feet. Our climbers work from inside the tree with rigging lines, lowering limbs in controlled pieces rather than felling. Plywood and mats protect turf and driveways along the drag path.
Brush is chipped on site, the trunk is bucked and loaded, and the work zone is raked and blown. Stump grinding can be booked for the same visit so you are not left with an obstacle in the lawn.

How much does tree removal cost?
Cost depends on height, trunk diameter, canopy spread and access. A tree over a roof, pool or power service takes longer to rig than the same tree in an open yard. Estimates are free and fixed before we start.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
Trees on private property generally do not require a permit in Arvada, Wheat Ridge or Lakewood. Trees in the public right-of-way — the strip between sidewalk and street — are city-managed and do require approval. We help you file that request.
Is the stump included?
Stump grinding is priced separately but can be done in the same visit. We grind 6–8 inches below grade so the spot can be re-sodded or replanted.
