Land Clearing

Clear what needs to go. Keep what matters.

An overgrown lot does not always need to be stripped bare. Land clearing starts with deciding which trees and brush stand in the way, which healthy trees should stay, and how the work can be reached without damaging the rest of the property. Tell us whether your goal is usable outdoor space, a clearer access route or vegetation removal ahead of a separate construction project.

Our focus is tree and vegetation work. During a free on-site estimate, we review the clearing boundary, access, nearby structures and the material that needs to be handled. Excavation, grading, utility installation and building approvals are separate scopes—not something to assume is included in a tree-clearing quote.

What to discuss at your clearing assessment

Overgrown brush & vegetation

Dense brush can make a property difficult to walk, inspect or maintain. Identify the areas you want opened up, including fence lines and existing paths. The estimate sets the boundary of the work and which vegetation will remain.

Selective tree clearing

Clearing can mean removing selected trees rather than every tree on a lot. Mark the trees you want to retain and discuss dead, damaged or unwanted trees with the crew before work begins. Trees near a house or power line need a different approach from trees in an open area.

Access & usable outdoor space

An existing driveway, gate or access route can disappear into regrowth. Share the desired clearance and any restrictions on equipment access. Property lines, easements, overhead wires and underground utilities all affect the work plan.

Stumps & clearing debris

Cutting vegetation is only part of a clearing project. Ask whether stump grinding, brush handling and log removal belong in your estimate. Agree on what will be removed, what will stay and how the finished area should look before the job starts.

Before work begins

A clearing plan built around your property

Bring a rough boundary, photographs and your goal to the estimate. For a construction-related project, share the approved site plan and identify the trees to be preserved. Confirm property lines rather than using a fence or a row of trees as a substitute for a survey.

Foothill lots can have steep slopes, rocky ground and narrow driveways. Those conditions affect access, how material is moved and how much disturbance is appropriate. Let us know about gates, tight turns, septic areas and any seasonal access limitations.

Removing vegetation can expose soil. Discuss erosion concerns and any revegetation or drainage plan with the appropriate professional before clearing. We quote the vegetation work; clearing alone does not make a lot ready for a foundation or certify it for development.

Where we work

From Denver lots to wooded foothill properties

We serve the same communities as our firewood delivery service, including Evergreen, Conifer, Golden and Black Hawk. Properties along the I-70 foothill corridor and the Highway 285 corridor can have very different access from a Denver metro lot. Include the exact address, approximate area and driveway conditions so the assessment is about your property—not a generic per-acre number.
